Finding Love in Delray Beach

My husband and I have found our perfect hideaway in Delray Beach.  It’s easy to get to and we have the best time down here.  We’re decorating our new home together, running, taking yoga classes at The Colony, meeting friends for dinner.  We explored the Design District in Miami this weekend, and even drove over to The Hard Rock casino in Fort Lauderdale (which was great).  We are swimming in the ocean, relaxing, laughing together.

For those of you who are still looking for your soulmate, try Jellies at The Seagate.  On Friday night we went over there and there was a one man band playing disco tunes.  The dance floor was filled with people dancing, flirting, getting to know each other…

Best siting: an elderly gentleman at the bar, making out with a very drunk blonde.  She was practically giving him a lap dance, and his smile spanned from one ear to the other.  At one point the woman lifted her left leg up, practically behind her back, making her guy grin even wider.

“Boy,” I told my husband.  “Someone’s getting lucky tonight.  I hope he took his Cialis.”

They carried on this way for quite some time and then, suddenly, the drunk woman was led out by her girlfriend.

“You had a good night,” said Erin, the beautiful new bartender.  “I’ve never seen you here until 11 before!”

“Did you see that?” he replied, grinning again.

I think everybody saw it honey!

“Did they just meet tonight?” I asked Erin.

“Yep,” she said with a laugh.

So much for getting lucky, I thought.  Well, maybe not.  Perhaps what he got was just what he needed.  Her too… feeling sexy and sassy and young for a couple of hours.  Love is out there.  You just have to be open to finding it.
