T.v. just doesn’t get any better than this. And, we got two hours to boot! After spending $100 to see a movie with my children this weekend (4 tickets, 2 cabs, snacks and drinks) this was particularly thrilling.
Seeing Don Draper so happy with his new bride was completely uplifting. Watching her dance and sing at his surprise 40th birthday party was one of the highlights of television in recent years. I’ll tell you, watching this show can make you (or me) feel really old. Don is 40? He has this amazing apartment, three children, an incredible ad agency… I’m wondering… have I done enough with my life at 51? I may have to get a move on.
If you don’t watch “Mad Men” you should really start at the beginning and catch up. It is soooo good. Really, you are lucky if you haven’t watched before. It’s like finishing a great book — so bittersweet — you loved it so much you didn’t want it to end. That’s how good this is.
The whole show was amazing, but the baby in the office scene was particularly hilarious.
And how cute is Don’s daughter? Just hoping he doesn’t start having babies with his second wife… that could really ruin the chemistry, don’t you think?
