How much does it cost to be an attractive woman at 50? Or even 40? Here are some of the things we need:
Anti-aging treatments. Everything from botox to the knife,
Better bras and clothing,
Expensive lotions and creams,
Laser hair removal…
I could continue,
but I won’t.
How can we afford this? Or, even more true, how can we not afford it? Right?
And once we get it, how much do we have to tip for it? Really… if we get our hair straightened for $600 and it takes four hours, how much do we give the stylist? The assistant? If hair removal costs $600 for 10 minutes are we supposed to tip $120? I can’t figure it out. I don’t want to be cheap, but really… do we need to tip 20% on a service that takes so little time, or costs so much to begin with? A manicurist may get $10 for an hour and a half mani/pedi, but do we give the laser hair removal person who spent ten minutes on us $120?
Nobody wants to give me a straight answer. I ask all the time.
