We are on our way to Southampton for the 16th annual Ellen’s Run. We have not run a race in a very long time. I ran seven miles yesterday, after taking a Level 2 yoga class, so I am feeling pretty tight. My back hurts.
I don’t think I’m going to win.
I am going to run as fast as I can though.
As an over 50 you never know, right? I have found, however, that sometimes the “older” crowd is even more competitive than the young one. Three of us are running: me, my boyfriend, and a mutual friend of ours. We are all going solo today. It’s only 5K, so we are going each man for himself (I speak in the masculine here). I want to beat them at least.
I will let you know how we do.
